Come soar with us!This position is for an on-site Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern who will join the CORE team at the Collins Aerospace Melbourne, FL facility for the Summer/Fall 2024 session.This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Co-facilitate events/activities to deliver tailored value to our customers and positively affect KPI.
  • Ability to train others on specific continuous improvement / operative system tools and methods
  • Identify drivers of cost and propose alternative solutions for cost reductions.
  • Ability to work in cross functional team
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects using the CORE methodology
  • Ability to diagnose problems and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques commonly used in electronics manufacturing
  • Support implementation of shop floor management strategy including but not limited to Visual Management, Cell Design, Material Flow
  • Act as a culture champion and change agent

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
