JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Technical Services Training and Education Specialist is responsible for implementing both customer and associate training programs, training associates in a didactic manner and according to Quality regulations. You coach Regional Trainers to contribute to worldwide consistent customer training and customer satisfaction. Develop a thorough knowledge of our customers and their requirements help you implement training programs that suit their needs.

Education & Training Specialist

Key focus areas:

  • Trainer for assigned product(s)

  • Continuous training improvement through guided performance analysis

  • Training Extended Core Team member/Core Team Member (CTM) for low to mid complexity new product development (NPD) projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Global Technical Services Training and Education Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing certified training programs and materials, as well as ensuring the certification of instructors responsible for training delivery. The Global Support Trainer is certified and allowed to provide Train the Trainer classes and examining associates against defined criteria.

  • The Global Technical Services Training and Education Specialist will actively participate as core / extended core team member in the new product development process (GPDS) when required, owning training deliverables.

  • The scope of responsibility also includes reviewing and evaluating the content of (service and end user) manuals.

  • The Global Technical Services Training and Education Specialist demonstrates skills to learn new technology (product) concepts quickly and easily through professional platforms; May need guidance to take advantage of all opportunities to obtain information that is useful for work, with the appropriate depth and breadth of relevance appropriate to the business environment.

  • Provide effective, complete and accurate training delivery in alignment with product development timelines and launches, consistent with global business goals.

  • Provide and communicate appropriate training updates, bulletins, and related policies or procedures to the Global Service entities.

  • Lead training certification programs for internal associates.

  • Flexibility in working hours to be expected due to time zone considerations and business needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of Business and industry

  • Skilled in communicating business impact of products on customer use

  • Skill in coordinating the logistical tasks associated with planning meetings Initiate and recommend product design change/improvement to satisfy service needs

  • Skilled in handling individual results in scope of a larger project utlizing established processes and technology tools Provide comprehensive and effective training to a wide and varied audience that includes trainees with markedly different cultural and learning styles.

  • Skill to learn new technology (product) concepts quickly and easily through professional platforms; May need guidance to take advantage of all opportunities to obtain information that is useful for work, with the appropriate depth and breadth of relevance appropriate to the business environment. Supervise and evaluate customer feedback to improve the training process.

  • Create and promote a safe working environment throughout the organization. Ensure ongoing communications to educate the organization of safety procedures.

Financial capability

  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of financial principles and business fundamentals relevant to the training environment (e.g. establishes/supports targets and manages training expenses to align to budgets). Travel to regional and national meetings or customer sites to conduct training sessions and educational seminars.

  • Skill in identifying performance goals, gaps or opportunities through guided performance analysis Ability to gear his own efforts towards needs and wishes of both internal and external customers.

  • Skill in designing and implementing performance support systems and tools, for example, instructional resources, job aids, expert advice. Willingness and capacity to collaborate with others on a common goal.

Product Expertise

  • Capable of training Tier 1 and role based 2 curricula for multiple products in a product line

  • Able to coach regional Tier 3 trainers on standard processes for effective knowledge transfer

  • Manages Tier 3 issues to resolutions in collaboration with other teams

  • Skill in partnering with internal customers to help identify problems or needs, understand and take action

  • Skill in identifying personal biases that influence one’s own cognition and behavior.

  • Skill in observing and interpreting the verbal and non-verbal behavior of individuals and/or groups.

  • Skill in communicating why the recommended solution can benefit the customers’ goals and business need

  • Skill in principles and techniques for providing feedback.

  • Knowledge of cultural differences in the workplace, for example styles of communication, organizational/business customs, attire, and family obligations.

  • Knowledge of methods and techniques to foster cultural awareness, encourage cultural sensitivity, and broaden viewpoints.

  • Skill in acting with integrity, for example being honest, acknowledging own mistakes, treating people with dignity, respect, and fairness.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Knowledge of processes in a microbiology lab, knowledge of technical devices.

  • Based medical device industry knowledge

  • Fluently verbal and written English

  • 0-5 years’ experience with training program development and accompanying material

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.

  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% time.
