Job Description Provides document imaging scanning and indexing to ensure the timely and accurate access of paper-based documentation. Assists in maintaining the data integrity of the electronic medical record by participating in continuous quality improvement activities and the identification of misfiled, duplicate, and illegible documentation.
Experience
1 year of experience in health information management
Experience in electronic medical record systems in a hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification Summary
No professional certifications required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven data entry skills, computer skills, and proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems
Keyboarding/typing skills of at least 35 words per minute with minimal errors
Ability to maintain a quality rate of at least 97% in reference to scanned documents
Proficient on computers and the ability to learn new computer skills
Able to seek clarification for instructions provided, data entry skills, and attention for detail necessary to manage high-volume workload
Ability to assess workloads, prioritization, and successfully meet customer needs
Job Responsibilities
