Sr. Project Manager“As a Sr. Project Manager, I specialize in turning ‘We’ll see’ into a project plan.”Overview:A multidisciplinary firm is in search of a Sr. Project Manager to join their team. The role involves overseeing diverse projects, leading project teams, and ensuring effective communication with clients. This professional will manage project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, navigating the entire project lifecycle. The ideal professional should have over ten years of project management experience, proficiency in contract negotiation, and the ability to coordinate multiple disciplines within the firm. This presents a great opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a collaborative work environment.Sr. Project Manager Assignments:

  • Lead the implementation of client projects by guiding project teams;
  • Effectively communicate project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule to clients and the team.
  • Oversee scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project setup with clients, sub-contractors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Develop project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and procure sub-consultant proposals. Monitor and manage the financial performance of projects, ensuring success in areas such as work plan adherence, schedule compliance, fee management, handling change orders, and overseeing billings and collections.
  • Navigate the entire project lifecycle, including estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, punch list management, turnover, opening, and project close-out

Sr. Project Manager Requirements:

  • Over a decade of relevant experience, including project and team management
  • Proven track record in negotiating project scope, fees, and effectively managing project financial performance, ensuring fiscal responsibility
  • Extensive experience across the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to post-occupancy
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and structural elements
  • Fundamental technical proficiency in the design of horizontal and/or building science projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Submission of a portfolio or work samples is required for consideration.
  • Professional Engineer registration in a State, with the ability to obtain registration in South Carolina.
