Job Description

The Director of Technology Delivery plays a critical role in advancing the academic and research mission of the University by providing leadership and strategic direction in the development, implementation, and support of academic and research infrastructure and services. This includes application development, technology delivery, High Performance Computing (HPC), research storage, secure research computing, and instrumentation data capture. This position collaborates closely with faculty, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs and ensure that the University’s technology services effectively support cutting-edge academic and research initiatives across various disciplines.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of research computing ecosystem including instrumentation, data management, security compliance practices and standards, and software deployment in a high-performance computing environment.
  • Ability to manage liaison relationships with business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of progressive management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and procedures related to research computing.
  • Experience working across multiple business units and IT departments with the ability to foster a sense of teamwork and create a collaborative environment.
