Global Corporate Controller – FinanceRemote – US, 2309 Silverdale Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee, United States of America Req #200Friday, January 5, 2024OverviewLabConnect improves lives by partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and clinical research organizations (CROs) to accelerate the development of new medicines around the world.We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.Leads and directs an organization’s global accounting functions. Establishes and maintains the organization’s overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Ensures establishment and monitoring of internal controls. Presents financially driven findings and recommendations to management.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the accounting and finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Manage the annual audit process and collaborate with external auditors.Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level.Support financial planning and analysis efforts, including cost management and cash flow forecasting.Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations, implementing changes as necessary to ensure compliance.Play a key role in driving process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.Education and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required.5+ years of progress experience as a Controller or similar financial role.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Experience leading global corporate accounting operations.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proactive, strategic thinking and planning.Language AbilityMust possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is needed. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public is also necessary.Math AbilityThe ability to apply advanced concepts of accounting is required.Reasoning AbilityHandles detailed, complex concepts and problems, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and makes rapid decisions regarding administrative and executive issues. Must display excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, word processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software and database software.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position leads the AP/AR team.Work EnvironmentThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Physical DemandsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
